St. David's Lighthouse Winner Carina to Circumnavigate Globe Between Bermuda Races

After the 48-foot McCurdy & Rhodes sloop Carina won her second St. David’s Lighthouse trophy in 2010 (the first was in 1970), owner Rives Potts sent her off on a racing circumnavigation of the globe. Her next "finish line" will be the start of the 2012 Bermuda Race.

Entries for the 2012 Newport Bermuda Race that starts in Newport RI on June 15th are running slightly ahead of 2010. To date 147 boats have entered the registration portal on the race website. Of these, 132 have submitted their Application for Entry (AFE) and 108 have been approved.
