Armchair Sailing? 

Dear Fellow Sailors:

I am writing this note as a Thank You for participating in the Newport Bermuda Race 2010. Without your participation, this event couldn't have been such a great success.

I also want to thank the entire behind the scenes crew that helped to make the 2010 Newport Bermuda Race.  In order to make this event happen, the organizing committee relies on a group of dedicated volunteers who work behind the scenes to make it all look effortless. Thank you to the individual members of the Organizing Committee, the Flag Officers of the CCA and RBYC, the Commodore of the NYYC, the Race Committee of the NYYC for acting as the Start Line Committee and the RBYC Finish Line Committee for its tireless effort in finishing all of the 183 starting boats on a 24 hour basis, to the members of the Clubs for being great hosts and to the staff of the NYYC and RBYC for being most professional and helpful. To all of the above: you have my heartfelt thanks for making my job look easy.
