NOTES:
- A minimum of 30% of each crew (including at least two of the following: captain, navigator, and port and starboard watch captains) must attend a US SAILING sanctioned Safety at Sea Seminar within five years prior to the start of the race. For Double-Handed Division yachts, both crewmembers shall meet this requirement. (If you can't remember when you last received a Safety At Sea Certificate, see the Safety At Sea Attendees Database.)
- ISAF Special Regulations require that two members of each crew must hold First Aid and CPR certificates. NOTE THAT THESE TWO MUST BE AMONG THE 30% WHO HOLD THE REQUIRED SAFETY AT SEA CERTIFICATE. BOTH DOUBLE-HANDED CREW MUST HOLD THE FIRST AID/CPR CERTIFICATE. Certificates will be granted for successful completion of the March 14 American Red Cross course.
- Hands-on, in-the-water-training is recommended in 2010 and expected to be a requirement in 2012.
